The five-mile-long Stiperstones ridge lies within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which contains some of England's most attractive countryside. Visible from within much of South Shropshire, the Stiperstones' dramatic tors rise to a height of 536m (1759ft), offering extensive views of the Shropshire Hills, uplands of Mid-Wales and the mountains of southern Snowdonia. The landscape’s intricate network of hills, valleys and ridges contain dozens of historical features, including prehistoric camps, hillforts and ancient settlements.
