The Shropshire Hills

Mist beneath The Lawley and The Wrekin, Shropshire.

The Lawley is one of a series of dramatic peaks within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located in South Shropshire, the ascent offers extensive views towards its neighbouring peak, The Wrekin, and the rest of the Shropshire Hills. Remains of prehistoric settlements dating to the Iron Age exist on the hills, and some of Shropshire's most picturesque ancient villages and historic buildings are found in the rolling countryside beneath their slopes. The county's wider landscape contains some of Britain's most scenic countryside.
