Ludlow, Shropshire, Autumn

Ludlow's medieval and Georgian centre, pictured during late autumn.

Located in South Shropshire close to the Herefordshire border, Ludlow is one of Britain's finest market towns. Its narrow streets are populated with dozens of medieval half-timbered buildings, alongside impressive Georgian architecture. Ludlow Castle and St Laurence's Church — their foundations dating to the the 11th century — overlook the town, both offering extensive views over South Shropshire, Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches region. Located to Ludlow's east, Titterstone Clee is Shropshire's third highest peak at 533m.
