Herefordshire

The English county of Herefordshire is home to some of Britain’s most attractive countryside. Bordering Shropshire to its North and Mid-Wales to its west, Herefordshire is one of several counties that make up the Welsh Marches, an historic rural landscape characterised by remote farmland and ancient villages, overlooked by the rolling hills and the dramatic peaks of Wales’s remote mountain ranges. Throughout the Welsh Marches are one of the country’s highest concentrations of prehistoric features, medieval castles and historic houses. Epitomising the character of the English countryside, Herefordshire and its surrounding counties form one of Britain’s most scenic landscapes.
