Situated in Powys, Wales, Pen Y Fan is southern Britain's highest summit. At 886m (2,907ft) above sea level, the peak overlooks some of Britain's most picturesque countryside, offering extensive views over the Brecon Beacons National Park and Welsh Marches region. The rural landscape below Pen Y Fan and its neighbouring mountains is characterised by extensive open grassland, upland lakes and winding rivers, alongside picturesque rural villages and farms linked by quiet lanes and tracks.
